U-Turn

Everyone makes mistakes! No one is perfect even though we try to be. Making mistakes is not where the problem lies…repeating it..being in denial…not seeking forgiveness…thats where the problem lies!

The word mistake means, “An error or fault resulting from defective judgment, deficient knowledge, or carelessness.” (www.thefreedictionary.com) Which would mean the reasons for an occurrence of a mistake are misunderstanding, ignorance, stupidity too at times!

But a mistake becomes a sin when its repeated, or a person denies to acknowledge it as a sin, or fails to find out whether what he is doing is right or wrong! Read the rest of this entry

We see around us many things that need to be changed. We give long lectures on how others are not doing anything about it but we too just sit and observe! We see people around us who need our help but we do nothing about it. We feel pity but at times thats not enough!

Be it those innocent children who don’t get food to eat…or those who don’t have the means to study inspite of their love for education! The labourers who work for a meagre income…sometimes in extreme cold…sometimes in extreme hot conditions! Even if someone does little for them it brings a smile on their face. Lowering the gaze!

Allah says in the Quran in Surah An-Nur, verse no. 30 and 31 (translation)

“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.). that is purer for them. Verily, Allâh is All-Aware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent….”

Allah’s Command to Muslim men and women is that they should lower their gaze, avoid looking at prohibited things or anything which may tempt them or lower their eeman (Faith).

When you lower your gaze, you are safe. Safe from evil thoughts and sexual pervasion. And the woman around you, who happens to be a stranger, is also safe and secure. Read the rest of this entry

Advantages of wearing hijab

woman will be respected for her personality. People will not treat her like a product for fulfilling their evil desires. She will be safe and comfortable when she steps out of her house.

It will be her identity that will distinguish her from non-Muslim woman. She will not be getting any unwanted looks.

Hijab acts as a barrier between men and women to keep them away from sins. It will remind men and women that they are true believers of Allah. If they take the first step towards an evil deed it will make them feel guilty, that will help them to say no to Satan and their temptations. Read the rest of this entry

Thank You!

When I started this blog, I was not sure how everyone will react.

Maybe I was not even expecting any visitors!

Firstly, I’m thankful to my Lord for helping me in every step of my life.

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said,  “One who does not thank people, does not give thanks to Allah.” (Abu Dawood)

I‘m over whelmed with the sweet and loving sisters who took time out of their busy schedule and stopped by!

I‘m also grateful to people who might have read my posts but did not comment. But know that I would love to hear from you.

I‘m thankful to the brother too who took time out to read and comment on my posts.

JazakAllah to You All!

Insha’Allah, together we can spread the knowledge gained.

Insha’Allah, we can teach each other too!

You might know something which I might not be knowing, and I might know something which you might not be knowing.

Success comes out of hard work but the main source of success is Allah!

I pray that He removes any obstacle that comes in our way of spreading Islam. Aameen.

Without His Help we are nothing!
